We have started to practise using clay to make a replica set of the Lewis Chessmen (ask your child to tell you all about them). Mr Sadler came in and taught us how to set the correct proportions for each piece and showed us how to model the clay – thank you Mr Sadler. I think you’ll agree that the results so far are fantastic. Our aim is to make a complete replica set so that we can use it to play chess against each other.
